In his weekly metals market wrap with King World News, Ted Butler discusses “a historical week for meetings” — Thursday’s CFTC hearing and a private, off-the-record meeting that he had on Wednesday with senior staff at the CFTC. We’ve transcribed a brief excerpt of what Butler had to say about both.
Butler also says that following a 28,000 to 29,000 contract reduction in the commercial short position in gold over the last two weeks, he’s putting gold, from a commitment of traders perspective, “clearly in the bullish category.”
