“There are growing piles of precious metals in, under, or near American homes,” reports Bloomberg, in an article examining various storage methods. Wisconsite Chad Venzke prefers to “Dig a hole in the ground four feet deep, pack gold and silver in a piece of plastic PVC pipe, seal it, and bury it,” since “you always want to have your precious metals within arms reach.” Venzke shares his tips for would-be midnight gardeners in a number of YouTube videos, including one titled “Gold and Silver storage, to do’s and not to do’s,” that has been viewed more than 7,000 times.
